Side by Side 2025
Our semi-regular group walks invite participants to stroll informally and collectively, paying attention to the layered narratives and transience of the ground on which we walk. This contribution to AUT's Material Acts exhibition curates a walk in gallery form. Images captured during previous Side Walk encounters are transformed into three-dimensional constructions. Physically recomposing these images offers us the opportunity to rethink and imagine new ways of relating to ground. Fragmented and rearranged, what was fixed becomes porous, side by side – moments where things meet, negotiate and leak into one another.
